Diabetic orthopedic Shoes - If you are looking forward to those carefree days of spring and summer then you need just the right shoes to carry you where you want to go. That style shoe just might be my MEADOW MAIDEN – from the SUN DRESSY collection. This style playfully combines a fresh grass green with white, a tad of black, a shimmer of silver and a trim of butternut. Despite the fusions of color, you will see that this style is quite neutral and can be worn with many traditional or contemporary bold prints and patterns.

Features:

Leather-Like Man-Made Material For Strength - The upper front of the shoe is made of LEATHER. The touch and feel of leather give the shoe extra strength and support. As with all Dr. Zen shoes these are extremely comfortable, safe and breathable shoes.
Rocker Bottom- The heal and the toe are slightly curved forcing the foot to walk properly. The rocker bottom coupled with the ridged shank, aid in re-aligning ground forces and encourage a normal gait and aid in maintaining a neutral position.
Rigid Shank-The bottom of the shoe has a rigid shank, with the help of the "rocker bottom" forces the foot to walk properly, with the proper weight and support on the bottom of the foot.
Reinforced Toe Box-The toe box is high and reinforced to help prevent injury to sensitive toe area.
Seamless Construction for Reduced Abrasion-The inside of the shoe is finished without high, irritating seams. Seams that rub against the diabetic foot can cause irritation, causing blisters, calluses and infection.
Lightweight-The balance of the shoe and construction materials makes this a shoe that protects the foot and provides comfort. The biomechanical design redistributes the ground reaction forces. This shoe can comfortably be worn all day.
Meets requirements of The Medicare Therapeutic Shoe Bill-The Medicare Therapeutic Shoe Bill was enacted by Congress in order to provide proper footwear and inserts for people with diabetes who qualify under Medicare Part B. Not all shoes fit the bill. This shoe product meets and exceeds the requirement of the therapeutic shoe bill providing not only an orthopedic shoe, which can be used for a diabetic, but also diabetic shoe designed for the diabetic. The patients can notice the difference.

STEP 1:

We will be shipping the unpainted shoes to you so that you can try them on to assure a proper fit. For the custom-painted fashion shoes, our artist does not paint the shoes until we are assured by you that they fit you, so please wear the shoes on a carpeted surface before shipping them to the artist to be painted.

Eleanor will custom paint the shoes and then return them to you, so please include your return address with the shoes. Please keep in mind that once the fashion shoes are painted, they are no longer returnable or exchangeable. The process takes 2-4 weeks depending on the style.
